About
Who I am: My name is David Gentile, but my friends call me Persie. I'm non-binary, and my pronouns are "they/them".
What I do: I'm a mathematical researcher interested in optimal transport on graphs; I defended my PhD in the mathematics department of Tufts University in the Spring of 2026, where I was supervised by James M. Murphy. Our group is called the High Dimensional Learning & Data Analysis group, and all sorts of interesting work has come out of it in the past few years.
What this site is: This site collects informal write-ups of my research, a showcase of related projects, and a small interactive demo. I'm also liable to post about miscellaneous topics.
